FinRoster

How it works

Describe your need once. Compare firms clearly.

FinRoster is being built to help you choose between independent bookkeeping firms — not a directory, and not an accounting firm.

Planned workflow. This describes the intended live service. In today's prototype nothing is reviewed, sent, introduced or followed up.
  1. 1. Review your need

You tell us you're a business looking for help, what you need (monthly, catch-up, both, setup or not sure), your software, timing, budget and a little about the business. “Not sure” is always allowed. No documents, SSNs or bank logins.

  2. 2. Check suitable firms

A firm must offer the work, serve your state and have room for new clients. Then we look at industry experience, software, workload fit and how they price. Unusual cases get a person's judgement.

  3. 3. Compare introductions

Up to three firms, each with the reasons it could fit and its trade-offs, laid out on the same dimensions. If nobody fits, we say so.

  4. 4. Speak with the firm

Only with your consent. The firm scopes the work and quotes directly — FinRoster doesn't set their price or do the bookkeeping.

  5. 5. Tell us if the fit was wrong

With your permission we'd ask how it went. A poor fit is feedback that changes future matches.
