Bookkeeping
Ongoing bookkeeping means every transaction is categorized, every bank and card account is reconciled, and you get a clean profit and loss and balance sheet each month. Good books show which services, locations, jobs or product lines actually make money — whether you run a clinic, a restaurant, a store, a trucking company or a trade business.
Typically included
- Transaction categorization and bank/credit card reconciliation

Usually not included

Questions to ask any provider
- 1.Who does the work each month, and who reviews it?
- 2.What is the monthly close deadline you commit to?
- 3.How will you track revenue the way my business earns it (jobs, locations, channels, loads or clients)?
- 4.What happens to pricing if transaction volume grows?
How pricing usually works
Monthly bookkeeping for small businesses is usually priced as a flat monthly fee tied to transaction volume, number of accounts and reporting depth. FinRoster asks for your volume so providers can quote realistically.

FAQ
- Do I need QuickBooks Online?
- No. Many providers work in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop or Xero, and many help businesses that use spreadsheets or no software yet. We match on what you use today and tell you if a provider prefers a change.
- Is FinRoster the bookkeeper?
- No. FinRoster introduces independent providers. The engagement, pricing and work are between you and the firm you choose.
- What if my books are months behind?
- Start with a cleanup project. Many bookkeepers offer both; we flag that in the match.
